NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY

LAKE FENTON NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY

The National Honor Society is a nationwide organization for high school students in the United States. Student's are inducted based on their scholarship, leadership, service, and character. NHS requires some sort of service to the community, school, or other organizations. The time spent working on these projects contributes towards the service hour requirement for the year.

NHS MOTTO

Noblesse Oblige

Noblesse oblige is French for nobility obligates, which is defined as: "Whoever claims to be noble must conduct himself nobly". This motto is what keeps the integrity and character going in all the members of the National Honor Society.

LF REQUIREMENTS FOR NHS

To remain a member in NHS, students must attain 32 hours by the end of the year, or 16 hours per semester, a GPA of 3.5 or higher, and cannot miss more than three meetings. Students will also have to pay dues, $10.00. The proceeds will help purchase stoles for seniors at graduation.
