The Genesee Opportunity Stipend 2017 online application will be available beginning on Monday, March 27th, 2017 at www.geneseego.org. All Genesee County students graduating or obtaining their GED in 2017 are encouraged to begin applying as soon as possible. They will be able to update their application if they are unable to provide post-secondary information at this time or if they need to make changes to their information.
All students who live in, and attend a high school in, Genesee County are eligible to receive the GO stipend, regardless of family income level. The stipend covers tuition and mandatory training costs/certification testing; and is paid directly to qualifying training entities, both in-state and out-of-state. Students are eligible to receive the Genesee Opportunity Stipend (GO) for one year after high school graduation. Genesee Opportunity provides Genesee County high school graduates with a financial jump start, no matter what educational path they choose.
