Blue and white graphic reading “Lake Fenton Alumni Spotlight” and “Hewitt Judson, Class of 1965.” Three circular photos show a black-and-white school portrait of Judson wearing glasses; Judson beside a woman under a yellow canopy, wearing a Lake Fenton Blue Devils Alumni shirt; and Judson outdoors in a blue cap and jacket with his arms crossed. Lake Fenton Community Schools logos appear in both bottom corners.

💙⚓ From Lake Fenton student to longtime educator and coach, Hewitt Judson has built a legacy of learning, leadership and lasting connections!

Now in his 55th year as an educator, Mr. Judson continues supporting students as a full-time academic interventionist and math tutor at LFHS. His journey includes the University of Michigan, service in the U.S. Army in Vietnam, and teaching math, history, band and choir.

During 50 years of coaching basketball, baseball and softball, he led three teams to the quarterfinals and his 1983 baseball team to the state finals. His contributions have earned him a place in the LFHS Athletic Hall of Fame and the Lake Fenton Community Schools Foundation’s Lifetime Achievement Award.

But his greatest reward? The lifelong relationships he has maintained with his students and athletes. 💙

A few fun facts: Mr. Judson was Lake Fenton’s second drum major, played tuba in the U of M marching band and served as a student manager for the university’s men’s basketball team!

Inspired by the teachers and coaches who encouraged him, he shares this advice with today’s students: Remember the four C’s—Character, Class, Commitment and Coachability.

Thank you, Mr. Judson, for generations of dedication to our students and our Blue Devil community!
