This week students visited the library to participate in our new Makerspace Program. For the first cycle, students are trying a focus and relaxation exercise using Buddha Boards. This time allowed students to first draw their interpretation of a specific "focus" item and then stretch their imaginations to end with free drawing time. For the remainder of this year and continuing next year, students will have an opportunity to explore several different Makerspace Labs, i.e. Legos, Magformers, k'nex and others. #LFLeads

📚Yesterday we had the author Jeffrey Chamberlain visit the first grade classrooms. His book is The Dog with the Crooked Tail. All students received a signed copy of the book.
