💙⚓️☂️October's PBIS Topic, Include Others, inspired students to create our own big umbrella based on the book The Big Umbrella! Each day students are given a "kindness challenge" and provided with ideas on how they can include others! ☂️⚓️💙 #LFLeads

LFHS Senior English classes have been working hard on a Public Speaking unit since the beginning of the year. Some students chose to do a demonstration speech for their last presentation. All students greatly improved on their confidence in front of an audience! 🤍⚓️💙 #LFLeads

💙⚓️🏆LFHS student Airabella represented Lake Fenton at a 50 Yard Line Competition at the Cedar Point Sports Center in Ohio and won 1st place for the Advanced High School Feature Twirler Competition!!! Congratulations, Airabella!!! 🏆⚓️💙 #LFLeads

💚⚓️💙 West Shore staff and students had a fun day yesterday getting ready for the big MSU vs. Michigan game! Students voted on the winning team, Ms. Yeaster made sure the teacher's lounge was stocked with MSU treats and students wore their favorite team colors!! 💚⚓️💙 #LFLeads

Thank you to all of our WS family & friends for the generous donations for our 1st BOOK BLAST! Enough funds were raised to purchase over 3,400 books! Every student was given a MINIMUM of 5 books to keep! Six of our teachers also earned a $100 shopping spree for supplies! #LFLeads

🌋⚓️👨‍🔬 7th graders in Ms. Little's science class investigated how volcanoes like Yellowstone and the Hawaiian Islands are formed by creating ‘hot spots’ on index cards with a candle! 👩‍🔬⚓️🌋 #LFLeads

⚓️Mrs. Hottinger's ELA classes took on the challenge of reviewing plot structure through a digital escape room! Students had to wake their brains early to solve for each lock, and competition, learning and enjoyment was the result! Congratulations to our winning teams!⚓️ #LFLeads

💙⚓️A group of LFHS Law and Society class students had the unique opportunity to witness a case being heard by the Michigan Supreme Court. This experience was part of the Court Community Connections program, which included students from all over the Flint area. ⚓️💙 #LFLeads
